Orthopedic Fracture Clinic

A fracture, also known as a broken or cracked bone, occurs when a strong force or impact is placed on a bone from a traumatic injury, such as a sports injury, motor vehicle accident, or fall. Fractures require immobilization to heal properly. Minor fractures can often be immobilized with a brace, splint, or cast. More complicated fractures may require surgery to achieve proper healing.

St. Joseph Health Orthopedic Fracture Clinic is a comprehensive fracture care center for traumatic injuries of the skeletal system. Our clinic offers the only fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeons in the region who specialize in the care of traumatic fracture injuries. Our surgeons provide the highest quality care on both complex, life threatening injuries needing surgery and simple, non-operative fractures requiring splints and casts. The clinic offers on-site digital X-ray and ultrasound imaging and easy access to advanced CT and MRI imaging.

Fracture care starts at the time of injury but continues beyond fracture healing and into rehabilitation of the affected limb. Our team treats the whole patient, providing education on injury recovery and prevention. Physicians and facilities in the Brazos Valley can refer their patients to the Orthopedic Fracture Clinic for definitive fracture care.

If you suspect that you may have a fracture or would like more information about making a referral, call 979.821.7676.
