Burleson County Hospital District Approves Emergency Air Medical Membership Agreement
Agreement will provide air medical transport benefits for all residents of Burleson County, Texas

BURLESON COUNTY, TX, 01 JUNE 2020 – The Burleson County Hospital District approved a new emergency air medical transportation agreement with PHI Air Medical. The agreement will provide air medical transport benefits for all residents of Burleson County when they are transported by CHI Air Med 12 or other PHI Air Medical Aircraft in the region. The new agreement began on June 1st, 2020.

The PHI Air Medical membership program, called PHI Cares, supports all of the households and residents of Burleson County, Texas. With the launch of this agreement, County residents will not be required to pay any additional out-of-pocket expense for their emergency air medical transportation when CHI Air Med 12 or other PHI Air Medical aircraft in the region transports them from Burleson County or a surrounding county including Milam, Brazos, Robertson, Lee and Washington counties.

Residents should always call 911 first when they have a medical emergency. The 911 dispatchers are well trained at assessing the medical needs of each caller and will determine if a ground or air ambulance is necessary. If a resident is transported by CHI Air Med 12 or a neighboring PHI Air Medical Aircraft, they should notify the PHI Cares membership department at 1.888.I.Fly.PHI (1.888.435.9744) and provide them with the Burleson County PHI Cares membership number # GHLMS-20-90189 and their date of transport.

CHI Air Med 12 will be providing the Burleson County Hospital District with special membership stickers that includes the PHI Cares membership number. Residents can obtain their PHI Cares membership stickers from the following locations after June 15th, 2020:
