Patient and Family Advisory Council

The St. Joseph Health Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) serves as a mechanism whereby patients, family members and healthcare providers can openly share ideas and play an active role in improving the patient and family care experience at St. Joseph Health. The PFAC is a partnership of patients, family members and healthcare team dedicated to listening, learning and responding to the needs of our patients in order to provide compassionate, high quality and safe care that exceeds our patients’ and family members’ expectations.

Patients, providers and the organization all stand to benefit from participating in a patient and family advisory council. The council can offer a better understanding of the overall healthcare market and processes related to it. It also gives all parties involved the opportunity to learn from one’s own experiences and understand barriers as well as opportunities for making the patient’s personal healthcare experience better. Ultimately, the council is tasked with supporting the mission, vision and values of St. Joseph Health to deliver excellent care to every patient who comes through the doors.
